We use genuine Pentair products to assemble the system. The basic whole-house system for city water applications to filter particulates and remove chlorine typically includes:
Pentair Big Blue series heavy-duty housing and wall mounting bracket
Pentek DGD, dual gradient density series filter cartridge
Pentair fully automatic backwashable carbon filter with a 5800 series control valve installed on a fiberglass tank containing the activated carbon

- Efficient: the filter cartridge is only typically changed every 6-12 months, depending on water usage. The carbon filter uses very little water to backwash, typically once per week
